• Happy New Year to everyone. Thanks for your support during 2025

• Got this note yesterday from one of our original subscribers. I’d like to think we bend over backwards to provide a great service to our customers. This is what he said. “Thanks for the personal forwarding till I get the new card sorted. Not just a number at The Farmers Club”.

• Ideas can come from anywhere. And sometimes we have to listen to the controversial people in Ag. It’s easy to dismiss the antagonists, but when they come up with a plan to back their rhetoric, then it’s time to listen a bit and put our biases aside. We have an example in a story this morning.

• My old primary school just closed in 2025. Very sad, but a sign of the times. I was talking to a mate who moved to Marnoo and bought the Milk Bar in 1988. He said that when his family came to town, there were 78 kids at the school. We wrote a story about it today.

• Aren’t you glad we aren’t subsidised like other countries? We wrote about it today, but it came with a proviso....
